The State of Montana released another update of the absentee count for tomorrow’s special Congressional election. Return rate stands currently at 72%, may clear the 80% mark if habit holds true yet again and a large number of voters mailed at the last minute or drop them off en route to/from work. While this would be a reduction from the participation rate in 2014, the total number of ballots requested in 2014 (253,800) has already been eclipsed by the number mailed back: as of 2pm local time, 257,782 of 357,599 absentees have been returned. All absentees must arrive at a county election office or polling place no later than 8pm local time tomorrow. Over 30,000 ballots have been returned in the last three days.
