Race Preview

The Democratic side of the Lieutenant Governor primaries is the quieter one, but could still shape up to be a race. Front runner Justin Fairfax is a former Assistant U.S. Attorney and came very close to becoming the Democratic nominee for Attorney General in 2013, losing to Mark Herring by only 3%. He is joined in the race by Susan Platt, former chief of staff to Joe Biden, and another former Assistant U.S. Attorney, Gene Rossi.
