Race Preview

The Democratic side of the Gubernatorial contests has been the more interesting, especially since there was effectively no race until January. Former Congressman Tom Perriello decided to step in and give assumed nominee and current Lieutenant Governor Ralph Northam a real fight. Public polling gives Perriello the lead. Per Geoffrey Skelley, watch Richmond and Norfolk: Perriello has made appeals to African American voters, prominent in both municipalities. We have members on the ground in both, so we should have numbers quickly.
