|John Curtis (Republican)||43.3%||31,245|
|Chris Herrod (Republican)||32.5%||23,505|
|Tanner Ainge (Republican)||24.2%||17,478|
Curtis is leading by 12% and we're calling this for him.
Well, this should be a pretty clean Curtis win.
Polls are now closed in #UT03.
In the race to replace resigned Congressman Jason Chaffetz, three Republicans have been battling for the party’s slot, a fight that seemed to favor Provo Mayor John Curtis. But polling has tightened a bit, and the number of undecideds (not to mention the unreliability of special election surveys) makes this a race to watch. Most of the ballots were cast by mail, so we’ve moved away from depending on precincts reporting to make predictions through the returns tonight. Additional mail-ins will be counted at regular intervals by the state this week, and we will update tonight and after to see if a clear winner emerges. Polls close at 10pm EDT.
