Race Preview

On the Democratic side of things tonight in Alabama, Doug Jones and Robert Kennedy, Jr are expected to clear the top two and advance to a runoff. Many state party Democrats are pushing Jones, who has received the endorsements of Congresswoman Terri Sewell, Congressmen John Lewis and Tim Ryan, and former Vice President Joe Biden. Kennedy, a political novice, enjoys an instantly recognizable name, and had been polling close to the 50% threshold. Polls close at 8pm EDT and first results are expected within thirty minutes.
