We whine about the quality of the polls released during specials, but we still want them anyway, don’t we? In the latest round of polls released to the public, we find Ossoff leading Handel, Gianforte cruising over Quist, and Norman crushing Parnell.
Georgia 6th Congressional
Survey USA released a poll yesterday that found Democratic candidate Jon Ossoff leading Karen Handel by seven points, 51% to 44%. The last public polls, Gravis and Landmark, found a two-point lead for him and a three point lead for her respectively.
Montana At-Large Congressional
Speaking of Gravis Marketing, they released a poll late last night that contradicted reports from Republican insiders of a tight race. Their latest release gives Republican Greg Gianforte a massive 49%-35% edge just ahead of Thursday’s vote.
South Carolina 5th Congressional
Flying under the radar of everything else is the race to fill OMB Director Mick Mulvaney’s old seat. Long held by Democrats until Mulvaney won in 2010, it was redrawn to make it a safer Republican district after the 2010 census. The first poll we’ve seen released, days after the mandatory recount in the Republican runoff, finds the GOP candidate Ralph Norman with a comfortable 53%-36% lead over Democrat Archie Parnell. The poll was conducted on behalf of the conservative Rampart PAC.
