The State of South Carolina ran the mandatory electronic recount of Tuesday’s runoff between Tommy Pope and Ralph Norman. In the initial count, Norman won by 203 votes. As per state law with any race decided by less than a percentage point, the triggered recount yielded an increase in Norman’s margin to 221. Per the Secretary of State, the recounted tally stands at Norman 17,823 and Pope 17,602. Norman will face off against Democrat Archie Parnell on June 20th.
